Frosted Polycarbonate Sheet
One or both faces matted — privacy and glare control while keeping ≥ 88% light transmission.
Matte on one or both faces — privacy and soft light, with a surface that hides fingerprints.
Frosted acrylic — also called satin, matte or satinice — carries a fine texture on one or both faces. It obscures without going dark, softens light without killing it, and hides fingerprints in a way gloss surfaces cannot.
That last property is why it dominates in furniture, retail fixtures and anything at hand height: gloss acrylic in the same position shows every touch.

Visually similar, but far lighter, safer if broken and much cheaper to fabricate. The frosting is part of the sheet rather than an abraded surface, so it does not collect grime in the way blasted glass does.
It scratches at the same rate but shows scratches far less, because the surface is already diffusing. In practice frosted panels look better for longer than gloss ones.
Yes, and it is the usual specification for partitions — matte facing the room, gloss facing the cleaning side.
