Is polypropylene stronger than polycarbonate? No — polycarbonate has far higher impact strength (about 200× glass). Polypropylene’s advantage is fatigue resistance in flexing parts and chemical resistance, not raw impact strength.

Is polypropylene or polycarbonate more chemical resistant? Polypropylene, clearly. It resists acids, alkalis and many solvents that can craze or attack polycarbonate.

Which is more heat resistant, PP or PC? Polycarbonate, with a service temperature around 120–135 °C versus roughly 100 °C for polypropylene.

Can polypropylene replace polycarbonate? Only where transparency and high impact are not required. For clear guards, windows and safety glazing, polycarbonate has no PP substitute.
