White Opal Acrylic Sheet
Even glow-through white for lightboxes and signage — no hotspots, no visible tube or LED lines.
Diffusers, lightbox faces and illuminated fascias — even output with no visible LED lines.
Illuminated signage lives or dies on evenness. A face that shows the LED strip through it reads as cheap regardless of the graphics, and the fix is always the same: match the sheet to the cavity, not the other way round.
We supply both sides of this — PC diffuser sheet at above 95% diffusion uniformity for luminaires, and opal acrylic in several opacity grades for sign faces.

| Application | Specify | Why |
|---|---|---|
| LED panel and linear luminaires | PC diffuser | Heat tolerance, will not crack on assembly |
| Lightbox and fascia faces | Opal acrylic | Brighter, better colour, lower cost |
| Channel letters | Acrylic, cast for machining | Clean routed edges, flame polishes |
| Vandal-prone external signs | Polycarbonate | Impact resistance |
| Edge-lit features | Fluorescent acrylic | Luminous cut edges |
For polycarbonate signage sheet projects, Plastura checks signage material selection before confirming the material. Send the span or finished dimensions, exposure and load conditions, preferred appearance, fabrication needs, and quantity. Standard stock sizes and colours normally run in 7–10 days; non-standard extrusion in 12–18 days; allow another 3–7 days for CNC work. The published starting point is 100 m² or 1 tonne, quoted in USD on FOB, CIF or DDP terms. See MOQ, lead time and shipping for planning details.
The sheet is too transmissive for the cavity depth and lamp spacing. Either move to a higher-hiding opacity grade or deepen the box. Send us both figures and we will send samples to test.
Acrylic for most signage — brighter, better colour stability, cheaper. Polycarbonate where vandalism or impact is a real risk, accepting slightly lower brightness.
Not from LED light with virgin material. Yellowing comes from recycled base resin or from lamps running hot against the face.

A useful lighting-sheet enquiry starts with the LED layout rather than a colour name. Send the LED pitch, distance from LED to diffuser, visible opening, target appearance when lit and unlit, and whether the part is flat, bent or formed. These variables determine whether polycarbonate diffuser sheet, opal acrylic or another construction should be trialled.
| Project condition | Candidate to screen | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Impact, handling or transport risk | Polycarbonate diffuser sheet | Fire requirement, optical target and surface finish |
| Display appearance and rigid fabricated letters | Opal acrylic | Forming method, edge finish and impact exposure |
| Outdoor illuminated enclosure | Weatherable sheet selected for the assembly | UV exposure, sealing, temperature and maintenance access |
State the target transmission and haze if your design has them, but also provide a photograph or acceptance description for hotspots and brightness uniformity. Optical values alone do not predict the appearance of every LED pitch and cavity depth. A sample should be reviewed in the intended geometry before a production order.
Review polycarbonate LED diffuser sheet or compare white opal acrylic, then include the LED layout with your quotation request.
